I am now in HMCC, a very interesting city. This morning I went on foot along roads that are not tourist attraction, to see ordinary lifestye of the people here. There are street vendors selling coffee, pho or french bread with some stuff. They provide small stools for customer to sit and eat at road side. French bread cost 5,000VND and coffee cost 10000VND. I have not tried pho yet. We ran after a vendor selling small oranges because the color of the orange and her cloth created a nice contrast. She was pulling a bicycle loaded with a basket of orange and she walked so fast that I have to run after her. We bought one kilo of the oranges for 20000 VND. The orange tasted good. I have learned to catch some vietnamese terms. The orange vendor told me mote kilo hi meut . I could guess it means one kilo for two something. I fact it was one kilo for twenty thousand. Meut means ten thousand. Mote is one and hi is two. The coffee vendor showed us that the value of bank note are also written in alphabets so we can read easily.
